Today, we’re proud to feature a recent build for our great customer Thomas—his striking Ulysse Nardin Marine Chronometer Monaco Regatta Limited Edition, (extremely rare limited to 30 pieces) now paired with a one-of-a-kind Royal Marine Blue Alligator strap featuring our SuperExotica Upgrade.
A Timepiece Built for the High Seas
Thomas’s Ulysse Nardin Marine Chronometer Monaco Edition is a celebration of nautical engineering and elegant Swiss craftsmanship. Featuring a bold design language and housed in a stainless steel case, this watch honors the prestigious Monaco Yacht Club and Ulysse Nardin’s maritime heritage. Its rich navy dial, bright red accents, and classic marine chronometer layout give it a sporty yet refined presence on the wrist.
It’s a watch that stands out—and it needed a strap that could keep pace.
Royal Marine Blue Alligator: A Perfect Match
For this special watch, we selected Royal Marine Blue Alligator as the primary strap leather. The deep, regal blue tones of this alligator hide echo the dial of the Monaco Edition beautifully, while offering a subtle contrast that enhances the visual impact of the watch. With a soft polished finish, the strap provides an elegant texture and sheen without being overly glossy—just the right blend of luxury and versatility.
The SuperExotica Upgrade: Details That Make a Difference
To take this strap to the next level, Thomas opted for our SuperExotica Upgrade, which adds an extra layer of refinement and exotic appeal:

Lining: We used Commando Grey SuperMatte Teju Lizard leather for the lining—a supremely durable and comfortable choice with a distinctive, scaled texture. This subtle grey lining complements the steel case and adds a unique hidden detail for those who appreciate the finer things.

Stitching: The strap is hand-stitched with Steel Grey French-milled linen thread using our Superfine saddle stitching technique. Every stitch is made by hand with two needles crossing in each hole for strength and longevity. The cool grey tone of the thread pairs seamlessly with both the stainless steel case and the lizard lining for a cohesive, thoughtful aesthetic.
Designed for the Ulysse Nardin Deployant Clasp
This custom strap was engineered to integrate perfectly with the original Ulysse Nardin stainless steel deployant clasp, preserving the secure and ergonomic functionality of the original strap system. We carefully crafted the strap ends to provide a clean, flush fit, so everything wears and looks just as it should—only better.
