For this project, the brief was clear: create a strap that enhances the warm elegance of the rose gold case, respects the architectural lines of the Conquistador, and introduces a level of detail impossible to achieve with any off-the-shelf option.
The result is a strap that feels as though it was born with the watch.
Premium France Croco Alligator – Chocolate Bronze Like No Other
The foundation of this strap comes from our Premium France Croco Alligator Collection, sourced from the renowned France Croco tannery — globally respected for producing some of the finest alligator leather available to strap makers.
This particular hide, Chocolate Bronze Alligator, is perhaps the most unique tannage from our recent batches. At first glance, it presents as a rich milk-chocolate tone. But look closer and you’ll notice something extraordinary: subtle bronze and gold metallic highlights dancing between the scales.
These highlights are not artificial coatings. They are the result of France Croco’s meticulous hand-finishing process and a hand-rubbed semi-matte treatment that gives the leather incredible depth and movement under light.
It is a colour that cannot be photographed properly. It must be seen in motion. And paired with rose gold, it becomes nothing short of spectacular.
Designed for the Conquistador: Our Thick Straight Lug System (TCLS)
The Franck Muller Conquistador features a straight case profile between the lugs — a detail that creates challenges for conventional straps. Standard straps leave unsightly gaps and fail to integrate visually with the case.
This strap features our exclusive Thick Straight Lug System (TCLS), developed specifically for watches with this case architecture. Combined with careful padding at the lugs, the strap flows seamlessly into the case, creating an integrated, sculpted look that feels intentional rather than aftermarket.

A double row of hand saddle-stitching in gold metallic thread runs the length of the strap, echoing the warmth of the rose gold case while adding a layer of visual richness that standard thread simply cannot achieve.
Our metallic thread is so thin that it must be doubled up for stitching. This unusual requirement allows for something very special: combining Rose Gold and Old Gold metallic threads into a single stitch.
Why?
Because the rose gold of the Conquistador case is less coppery than typical rose gold tones. By blending the two metallic threads, we achieved a far more precise colour harmony with the watch than using either thread alone.
