Canvas for Custom Watch Straps:<\/h2>\n

Canvas for Custom Watch Straps – I have recently added waxed and wash canvas to our material offings for custom watch straps and have been really pleased with the results that I have achieved thus far.\u00a0 Due to the propensity of this material to fray at unfinished edges, I have therefore been making these straps with Rembord\u00e9 (wrapped) edges, which gives these straps a very clean look.<\/p>\n

While I have been making straps from Canvas and leather salvaged from a vintage Swiss Army Rucksack<\/a> for years, that canvas was so thick and stiff has wrapped edges were not possible.<\/p>\n

I can have a small stock of waxed canvas, but am happy to order any of the below colors for your custom watch strap project:<\/p>\n

Waxed Canvas:<\/h3>\n

This material is really great in that it will patina nicely with wear, showing creases and marks, but can be re-waxed and can be warmed with a blowdryer to re-darken and make the crease marks disappear!<\/p>\n

Washed Canvas:<\/h3>\n

This material is not waxed but has been washed to give it a really great faded look.\u00a0 Imagine an old canvas Army tent that has been exposed to the elements over the years:<\/p>\n

Navy Waxed Canvas and Shell Cordovan for JLC Reverso:<\/h3>\n

\"CanvasThe First strap that I want to share is made from navy waxed canvas with leather accents made from Shell Cordovan for a Jaeger Lecoultre Reverso<\/a> in the style of the Casa Fagliano<\/strong><\/em><\/a> straps that are made for JLC in Argentina.\u00a0 The tabs at the top of the straps which hold the spring bars and keeper loops (with stitching) are made from our recently arrived Navy Shell Cordovan<\/a><\/p>\n

This strap was made to fit my customer’s Breitling Bandit with Anthracite dial<\/a>, which I think the Charcoal Grey color of this waxed canvas is a great match the addition of the Skull Rivets<\/a> offers a unique custom look. This strap has been made to fit my customer’s Breitling Ocean Racer clasp:<\/p>\n

Black Waxed Canvas – Casa Fagliano<\/strong><\/em> style with bund underlayment:<\/p>\n

This strap was made to fit a vintage TAG Heuer, but has been fitted here my Revue Thommen Airspeed for photographic purposes.\u00a0 Made from black Waxed Canvas, it’s got the leather accents at the lugs and keeper loops Casa Fagliano<\/strong><\/em><\/a> style with the addition of a bund underlayment, and has been finished with all wrapped edges which prevents the canvas from unsightly fraying.\u00a0 This strap has superfine hand saddle stitching with our Steel Grey French-milled linen thread and has been lined with Commando Grey Alcantara for a buttery soft wrist feel:<\/p>\n
