Mike’s 150th Anniversary Edition IWC Big Pilot ‘Big Date on Deep Atlantic Blue SuperMatte Ostrich Leg strap<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

IWC Big Pilot on Blue Ostrich Leg Strap – Mike was kind enough to seed along these wonderful photos of his IWC 150 Anniversary Edition Big Pilot\u00a0 Big Date Ref.IW510504<\/a><\/strong> on his just arrived Deep Atlantic Blue SuperMatte Ostrich Leg skin strap.\u00a0 This strap is made from very special Deep Atlantic Blue SuperMatte Ostrich Leg<\/a><\/strong>, which we have had custom produced for us by our Italy base tannery partner.\u00a0 This is a bespoke tannage to our own color specifications and as such is entirely exclusive to Dangerous9<\/span>straps<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Strap Shape and Stitching Pattern:<\/h3>\n

This strap Has been specified by Mike to feature the standard IWC Big Pilot strap shape and stitching pattern with Notched tapering from 22 to 18mm, Mitered strap tip and to fit his IWC OEM deployant clasp.\u00a0 The stitching pattern is taken directly from the Big Pilot OEM strap with Box stitching at the lugs of the short side strap, Closed stitching on the long side strap and double stitching reinforcement at the strap tip. I think the superfine hand saddle stitching in white French-milled linen thread looks especially great with the white dial of Mike’s watch.<\/p>\n

<\/h3>\n

Rivets at the lugs:<\/h3>\n

Also featured here are our custom made screw back rivets mill to our specifications from solid stainless steel.\u00a0 If course, these rivets can be added to just about any strap that is not padded.\u00a0 While our Rivets have a bit thicker heads that the IWC strap rivets, to allow for the screw back feature, we have been designed by us especially to mimic, as much as possible, the IWC Big Pilot strap look.<\/p>\n

Contrasting Keeper loops:<\/h3>\n

The keeper loops for Mike’s strap show the truly bespoke nature of his design being made from our SuperMatte Carbon Black Ostrich Leg skin, which not only shows a wonderful contract but also echos the black numerals and hour\/minute marks of his watch. Mike has also taken great care when determining the length for his strap so that he can specify that both of his keeper loops be fixed in place,\u00a0 These are the sorts of details, which we can really geek out on your harts content when collaborating on a bespoke design and one of the parts of my job that I really love.<\/p>\n
