Genuine 1965 Swiss Ammo Leather with Authentic Military Heritage

This bespoke strap was handcrafted from a rich brown 1965 Swiss Army ammunition pouch, giving the leather over sixty years of authentic history before it ever reached our workbench. Every crease, grain variation, and natural mark tells a story that simply cannot be replicated with newly produced leather.
Our Swiss Ammo collection is created from genuine vintage Swiss Army leather ammunition cases carefully salvaged and repurposed into premium watch straps. Originally manufactured to military specifications, these thick vegetable-tanned hides were built for decades of hard service, making them an exceptional choice for heirloom-quality watch straps.
Unlike artificially distressed leather, every Swiss Ammo strap carries authentic character developed through decades of real-world use. No two straps are ever identical, ensuring each customer receives a truly unique piece.

Exclusive Fully Integrated Fit for the Rolex Sky-Dweller
Perhaps the most distinctive feature of this project is our exclusive ‘Fully Integrated Fit’ (FIF)
Rather than simply producing a straight-end strap, this design has been individually hand cut and sculpted to flow seamlessly into the Rolex Sky-Dweller case. The carefully shaped shoulders create an integrated appearance that looks as though the strap was designed specifically alongside the watch itself.
Additional padding at the lugs enhances the visual transition between case and strap while providing outstanding comfort on the wrist.
Achieving this level of precision requires considerably more design work and hand-finishing than conventional bespoke straps. To our knowledge, Dangerous9straps is currently the only strap maker offering this level of bespoke integration and craftsmanship for the Rolex Sky-Dweller.
Traditional Hand Saddle Stitching
To complement the warm vintage leather, we selected our vintage Ecru French-milled linen thread, hand saddle stitched using traditional techniques.
Hand saddle stitching remains the gold standard of leather craftsmanship. Unlike machine stitching, each stitch is individually locked, producing exceptional durability while adding a timeless handcrafted aesthetic that pairs beautifully with the aged Swiss Ammo leather.
The subtle Ecru thread perfectly highlights the rich brown tones of the 1965 leather while reinforcing the military heritage that makes these straps so distinctive.
